Times Of My Life

Cheese'n'Wine

So, came back to work on Wednesday, after 5 weeks off with a broken wrist. I work 'compressed hours', which means I work full time, but over 4 days instead of 5.

Therefore Friday is usually my day off, but I was asked to go to a meeting today, and it droned on and on ...... I had arranged to meet a friend for lunch, but by 2pm it was apparent that lunch was off the menu.

I eventually arrived home at about 3.45pm, having picked up some laundry for a neighbour on the way, and done a little bit of shopping. Dog walked, tea cooked (or you may call the 5 o'clock meal dinner or supper), clothes changed, and off out I went again for our local branch of the SNP meeting. Tonight our MP, Tasmina Ahmed Sheikh, came along to tell us a bit about her experiences as a Westminster MP. It was really interesting, and I continue to be so proud of her (and all the other SNP MP's) for the great work they are doing and of the work I (and all the other party members) did to help her get there.

It will be May in no time, and our Scottish elections will hopefully return a majority SNP government again, which will go some way to ensuring we stay in the European Union. This is vital for Scotland, Wales, North East England, and Northern Ireland, as the subsidies we receive from Brussels are imperative in assisting us to build flood defences, new bridges, and to support low-earning local economies.

Back home after the meeting, I'm now attacking the cheeseboard and last surviving bottle of red wine.

I believe the Lottery tomorrow is for a Jackpot of £57m. Oh God, please let it be us!
