A view from the other side

S and I enjoyed a trip to Dundee to see this exhibition today-the first dry day for ages.

It is titled Drawn into Tomorrow and my blip captures two people watching the installation.

It comprises an alternative depiction of a controversial building in the artists' hometown of Turku, Finland. It was built in the early 19th century and has functioned as a fishmarket, bazaar, cafe, restaurant and petrol station.

The protected structure then lay empty and fell into disrepair. In 2011 it was restored and converted to upmarket restauants and bars.

The artists have combined intricate hand drawings with digital animation, illustrating the decay and repurposing of the building. With the local history as a starting point, they set out to answer universal questions of ownership of public space, immigration and neo-liberal city policies.

It was fascinating.
