This Dickensian secondhand bookshop is opposite the indian restaurant in Farningham village. We had a lovely meal there this evening and afterwards walked by the mill to look at the height of the river Darent. Although the level was high it did not seem that the adjoining houses were in any danger of flooding. It was a mild and bright evening and for once was not raining.
