Chilling Out

Maisie the Labradoodle pup has had a busy day... First up Rosie, a doggie friend visited. Rosie's owner, Ken had come to deal with an enormous branch which had partially broken off high up on our Gleditsia tree. It was hanging down onto the lawn and was proving to be a bit of a hazard.
Later in the day family friends took Maisie for a walk along part of the Taylor River bank. She had to wear her car harness as she pulls too hard on her nice purple lead. I am amazed at how hard a 10.5kg puppy can pull on her lead.
Then I drove her into town and we went to Roselands Garden and Pet Center to get her fitted for a nice new red "Halti" head halter. The shop staff made a huge fuss of her and were impressed at how clever she is. She has taken to the head halter surprisingly well.
Once home she was hot and very tired. However it took her no time at all to suss out the direction of cool air from the air-conditioner. She plonked herself down on the floor to chill out and have a little cat....oops....dog nap.
