Morning Stars

Each morning, I enjoy looking at my tiny micro garden. It is micro because, living in the woods, deer enjoy our growing produce as much as we do! We didn't have time (or perhaps energy) this year to build a proper barrier to keep the critters out, so...well, my micro garden in close proximity to the house. (They never venture close to our house.)

Each morning, as I look at the garden, I am greeted by golden yellow "stars" on a small pumpkin vine. I planted some seeds from a pie pumpkin I bought from a farmer last year. I will be over the moon if these vines produce small orange orbs for me this autumn. I so love pumpkin pie!

In the meanwhile, I am so enjoying these delightful flowers!
