Coffee collection!

I've recently signed up to A Year With My Camera, a free online course that's located on Facebook. There are quite a few blippers on there! Every Thursday, an email is sent out with a photography lesson and a small project. The course started today and the project is to pick something to collect (photographically) and add to it over the year. I've decided to collect coffee - coffee cups, coffee shops, coffee beans, etc., etc., ... This is the first image for my collection. It's my (current) favourite mug, my cafetiere and the kettle.

Why coffee? Why not something like trees and leaves, which I love photographing? Well, I've got very frustrated this autumn and winter by the awful weather and dull light, plus I want to improve my indoor photography. So rather than stay in my comfort zone, I'm giving myself a bit of a challenge - which I may live to regret!
