This shot, strange as it is because I photographed it off the computer screen, is for Rosemarie, who posted a shot of a slug and I responded with a comment about "banana slugs" in California.  Here they are!  These slugs can grow up to nearly 10 inches long and can weigh up to 4 or 5 ounces!!!  Anyway, one time we were camping in southern Oregon, just north of the California border, and one of the daughters had one of these crawl into her hair.  No damage done, but we did manage to get it out, saving the lives of both the daughter and the banana slug. 
We're headed out of town tomorrow and today is foggy, overcast and not very nice outside, so this was a perfect day to post something in response to another posting.  My apologies for the quality of the image, but you have to see these things to believe they exist!!!  :)
