Went into town with Tom to try and use the tail-end of the Sales to replace some broken and worn-out items. I am now the proud owner of a new wallet (same as the old one but the cards don't fall out when I open it), a cheap head torch (for nocturnal dog, chicken and log-related activities), some socks with snowflakes on (not on the list, but cheap) and a new hat that apparently does not make me look like an old man of dubious morality and/or personal hygene. All in all, then, a success...
