Car Trails

I have blipped night car trails from the point halfway up the mound in Edinburgh previously but it was in summertime with a twilight blue in the sky. It has been raining solidly for 4-5 days now so I knew at night time I would get nice reflections in the wet cobblestones and I intended this to be the focus of my composition. But what with car trails, star bursts of lights and masses of bokeh, the reflective cobblestones scarcely get a look in even though they form 50% of the image.
