Oats and antihistamines

I didn't have a good day, on Monday I started with urticaria - that incredibly itchy rash, known as hives in some places. It hit the peak of itchiness today.

To add insult to injury I poured boiling water over my hand this morning - ouch!

So I stopped off at the local pharmacy for Aveeno, a wonder cream made from oats, and some antihistamines - the quote is Dr Johnson, from his dictionary published in 1755. No doubt influenced by his trip to Scotland with Boswell in 1773. I'll be visiting Lichfield next week, Johnson's birthplace.

I felt supported by my oaty cream today :)
