Merlin

I saw this bird fly over me as I was getting into my car to leave work. I could tell it was carrying something, but it was too small to be one of the local hawks. When it landed on a pole in the other parking lot I drove over to check it out - it's hard to really see it without context, but he/she was about the size of a kestrel. The bird books say they are migratory in this area, and best spotted in October, so it might be a little off track.
