The Arrival Of The Kings
Epiphany, the time when the church celebrates the arrival of the Three Kings.
I went down to the churchyard today because I thought I should take the Christmassy wreath off mum's grave, just like I took down the decorations at home, yesterday. When I did the mound looked so bare and neglected, all the other graves in sight were still brightly adorned so I put back the ring of beautiful blue spruce branches with its silk hellebores and plastic holly. That made me feel better.
I'd packed away my own nativity set and, besides, I'd blipped it's kings previously and made a blip of mum's handiwork last Christmas. I'd gone prepared with my camera and tripod to try out a project but couldn't resist a shot of the church's kings as a back-up. I'll leave the other idea for another day as it isn't date-related and I've now found the article reminding me what I should have been doing!
I even searched my albums hoping to do a backdated blip, but it seems in all the years, this was the only time I took a photo of the girls getting ready for the service!
Speaking of bringing gifts, if anyone is still undecided about Blipfuture, I have just read this very good article by Fergus Murray. We are on the brink of learning our fate! Sorry just can't get the link to work. Its on www.fergusmurraysculpture.com/blog
