Smoke on the water

We went to Skye for New Year and set off in the late morning in less than spectacular weather. The weather gradually improved and this is the view of the River Spean with the Grey Corries behind. The spray was amazing after the recent rain. The extra shows what caused it; a combination of spillage over the dam; reasonably rare and discharge through the dam at high pressure. It was cold and wintry as we got to Skye but Hogmanay was a convivial one with friends in Torrin.
