Spanish Pyrenees
In today's Blip I'm hoping to show, that Spain is much more than the wonderfully sunny warm Mediterranean coast, where we live.
This photo shows the village of Salardu, in the Spanish Pyrenees, in the Val d'Aran, Province of Lerida..........it was taken at 8.30a.m. today, and the outside temperature was -3 degrees Centigrade. It was snowing for most of the day.
The Val d'Aran is home to wonderful ski ing, at such resorts as Baqueira-Beret......where the Spanish Royal family, and some of the very wealthy, relax in winter!
There hasn't been a lot of snow, so far this season,.....so it was probably disappointing for the skiers over the Christmas holiday........but the season will last for another 3-4 months.....so plenty of time for lots of bright sunny days with fresh powder on the slopes!
