This cup is showing its  age a little, but I love it. It was made in Japan, probably part of a long-gone set.  Long ago, 'J.B.' hand-painted a message on the bottom of the saucer, 'To Nan, from Montreal, Canada, 1923.' Imagine it surviving over ninety years of tea-parties, dish-washing and flittings,  to end its blue and iridescent days with me.
