Tractor tueday
Oh dear, late again! Time management seems to elude me currently. Enough of my inadequacy and on to this delightful little tractor Mr Tbay was given for Christmas.
This is a Fordson Super Major and was unveiled to the world by the Ford Motor Company at Hamburg in Germany in November 1960. It was painted this special metallic grey colour for the launch. Production tractors were painted in the normal blue and orange and later blue and grey livery. Production ran from 1961 to 1964 . The Super Major and the Super Dexter were the last tractors to wear the Fordson name.
I have backdated this blip and it is the 6th so today has been a busy day packing away the Christmas decorations for another year. They looked so pretty so I was a little sad to see them go. However it does make keeping the house clean and tidy a whole lot better.
Farming - Compost hauling for three today. However Joshy managed to get stuck right up to his axles whilst trying to dump his load. After various attempts to get himself out of the mire he had to resort to phoning Rusty who them turned up to pull him out. After much pushing pulling etc he was freed only to find that one of the tyres on his fully loaded trailer had popped off its rim!! Oh dear another long wait for the tyre people to come and put it back on! When they came in this evening Joshy was all lovely and clean and Rusty was plastered in mud. It always pays to be in the cab!
I am quite excited today as I am to get a new ( well second hand new) car. It will be a freelander which will suit me very well! How exciting........
