Afro hair problems

We took a break from conference today to drive to Moss Side so that SS could purchase some Afro hair products. Surprisingly, there is little market for this kind of stuff in Shrewsbury. It was fun. We went past all my old hang-outs: favourite curry houses, the best falafel shop in Manchester, good Jamaican pattie shops and even our old house. We then found a shop which SS said was just like being at home. She'll describe it much more eloquently than me, obvs.

It was nice going back but it did remind me (sorry Mancunians) of how depressing that year was. I do love Manchester but it can be horribly grim, can't it? I've never known a place so consistently grey.

Another great day packed with great seminars and interesting conversations.

Oh, and (ironically) I tweeted a response to a local radio presenter this morning about ways to try and be better at reducing screen time. He asked if I could chat about it on air and I did. Fun!
