A January Garden

This Hydrangea may look dead but it is just sleeping, getting its strength back for another burst of blooms later this year. It should be a bush but it decided to try to become a tree and looked so sculptured it seemed a shame to cut it back.
Other things are shooting their buds and some others have lush green growth. The bulbs are well up in established pots and the two new pots I planted out just before Christmas have shoots showing through, which I'm very pleased about as I thought I'd left it a bit late.
