Snoozing

Odd weather again today fluctuation between fog and an attempt at sunshine. As everything is so wet underfoot, I decided on a stroll round the lanes near where we live. A couple of miles into my walk, I passed a spot where I'd been tipped off about the presence of a Long-eared Owl, so I stopped off for a quick look. Imagine my surprise and delight to see it dozing in plain view, no more than a few yards from the road!
