Resting
A nice peaceful day - some beautiful light and, especially, not much rain.
I headed off to the Wolseley Centre to see how the river was, and what was going on. The Trent is higher than I've ever seen it - the bank where the kingfisher nested is completely submerged, and the usual big log where he perches is now several hundred yards downstream. A rethink will be necessary before the breeding season.
From the bird hide, there was lots going on. The feeders have been put back and there were all sorts making the most of it.
But the kingfisher still has pride of place.
