Thistle Down

Joyful Rain

The rain is softly falling
So soothing and so cool.
Bright riverlets are passing,
To make a mirrored pool

I look to see the magic,
As added portions win.
And congregate on rutted soil,
Before they tumble in.

So gayly do they dance about,
And venture forth to dare.
With force upon the sodden ground,
They jumped up in the air.

Reflections rise to meet the eye,
In a silvery shade of blue.
that ripples in the gently breeze,
And passes from my view.

O...droplets from the laiden sky,
Your presence here is bliss.
And your velvet touch upon my cheek,
Is like a cherished kiss.

Quail Fire in Alpine, Utah. We were just let into our homes. The firefighters are still working and planes and helicopters still boom...but look at this joyful rain!
