Gallipolli

The Gallipoli exhibitions at Te Papa and at the National War Museum in Wellington are truly amazing.
Huge models 4-5 metres high depicting the horrific reality of WW1. Very life-like and very moving.
Those poor soldiers.
This one depicts a typical artillery situation.
The a Extra Photo depicts the closeness of the tunnels and trenches - no wonder the could throw grenades back before they went off!
Peter Jackson and Weta Workshops created both exhibitions. NZ owes a great debt of thanks to them.
These are a "must see" for all kiwis.
