'MONA'
Backblip.
Headed back into Hobart this morning and out to MONA to have a look.
A really interesting Museum, the Architecture was quite something else and it's definitely not your usual museum. There are no explanations or titles on any of the exhibits, instead you are given an iPod with all of the information on it and a set of headphones if you wish. Just click on the home button and the screen shows all of pieces in the area you are currently in. Then its up to you if you want to read more about the piece by clicking the 'Art Wank' button.
After a beautiful lunch outside in the grounds we headed back in to watch the 'Cloacha' do it's stuff at precisely 2pm. What a fizzes, something went wrong and all we saw was a little dribble out the end pipe. I must admit I was overly worried about missing that.
From MONA we drove up to the top of Mount Wellington and looked at the views of Hobart and the Derwent River. It was freezing cold up there and we only lasted about 15 or 20 minutes before getting back in the car and down the mountain.
Went for a walk around the Hobart Botanical Gardens for an hour or so before it shut its gates for the night also.
