Not yet flooded, flooded with calls

Lunch break at the CAB, went out to get some fresh air and check how close the Medway is to flooding. The town is protected by a flood barrier which seems to be doing its job just at  the moment but there's not far to go.

Yesterday was the first day back in business for Tonbridge CAB after the Christmas break.  Yesterday there were nearly 100 calls to our helpline where they leave a message and we ring them back. We were still working our way through yesterday's calls today and by the time I left at 5 we were still working through yesterdays. Lots of debt and divorce - that's what Christmas does to people.
