Extreme cold weather alert has issued in Toronto and surrounding area. I have been suffering from a cold, so I decided not to go out. The news reporters recommended not to go and stay outside if not necessary. The sky was so clear and blue and if you looked out a window, today looked like a gorgeous warm day.

On the New Year's day I started knitting a neck warmer, and it is nearly finished. The yarn is soft and warm and feels really nice. It is a shame I don't have enough length to knit a scarf. 

PS: The temperature outside now (17:30) indicates -12 degrees C (windchill -23 degrees C).
