Sugar Sands

Sunshine! Tom and Lucy both love the beach but don't get there very often, so we headed off for a walk on Sugar Sands. A fresh breeze, but a glorious day - good views of Dunstanburgh Castle across the bay.

Off to Belford to our friend Andrea's in the evening -  as usual, she had laid on a splendid feast. Most of the assembled company walked in to Belford to see in the New Year with the amazing Belford firework display. This year, apparently, it lasted longer than the London fireworks!

Fabulous clear, starry night as we travelled back to Wooler, with a slight green tinge of the Northern Lights in the sky.
