Loch Riddon

This is the view towards directly south towards Bute from a friend's house at the top of Loch Riddon , or Loch Ruel as it is sometimes called.   We live about two miles  away,  to the left of the picture,  but as we  face south west and are slightly hidden by a small hill our house cannot be seen from here.

It is a spectacular spot, though heavy cloud has been a persistent feature for the past couple of months.   There have been virtually no full days of sunshine and even this morning's brightness had gone by early afternoon.
