Boreraig, Isle of Skye

A so called Clearance village in Skye where the villagers were brutally evicted by the landlord in 1853 to make way for sheep. It is a beautiful place still but this dark photo reflects the mood of this sad spot. Ironically a lone sheep was grazing there, presumably left behind when the rest of its flock was  moved before winter.
