Organised chaos

I'm taking it so easy this week if I were any more laid back I'd be horozontal!
Only a few bits of work to complete before I start my summer holiday on Monday night, so I can take the opportunities to enjoy my surroundings.

Apart from it being the BBC compound for The Open, I've no idea what each of these buildings is going to be used for. But someone somewhere has a plan.

Today has seen a steady stream of lorries bringing Portacabin after Portacabin. A place for them all and all in their place.

It looks a little chaotic from here but these guys certainly know what they are doing.

I almost blipped one of the numerous "Wet paint on door" signs in our building.
Wet paint signs always bring out the child humour in me. Comments such as "Is that an instruction or information?" And "I'll never manage it from here!"

When I got in from work Alison said I looked tired and I agreed. I didn't feel much better after a sleep, but I'd promised to take the "cheesegrater" to a local Brownies and Guides group. For the first time I didn't feel like going. But even before I went in I could sense the exctitement from inside and the kids didn't disappoint. As I unveiled the Torch there was an audible gasp and they just loved it.

An hour and a half later and who knows how many more photos and I'm so pleased I went.

Now watching a fascinating programme with Michael Johnson exploring the theory that not only are the fastest sprinters in the world all Black, they are all descended from slaves.
