Montville olden days charm

This cute building in Montville was built in 1918 and made with milled timber from the original property.

Once a fancy goods store and lolly shop for the local residence, said to be the popular meeting place back in it's hay day.

It was only a single storey in its youth, then in 1927 the owner decided to build the upper storeys to allow customers to see the extensive views through a Zeus telescope.

Today it is still a popular restaurant and meeting place for tourists and locals.
