Un arco
An arch
"...when u look at something, what counts the most, even more than the object itself ...it's the look. It's in the quality of the look, in the 'predjudice' that it may contain that the object observed gets deformed and it adheres to the personality of the observer..."
I read these words on a book and i found them so in touch with my idea of photography...(and also of travelling :-D)...at least the one i have since few months!
Before getting to know and use the post processing softwares i wasn't liking them much, i was thinking that a good photo should come out good straight from the camera...and to be honest i still think so....but since i started using these softwares....i also discovered their artistic side, which is the one i love and use! ... i always loved handcrafts and colours and the idea to transform old objects or even boring new ones in something different, tks to colours and fantasy!
With photos, so far, i'm enjoying this idea as well...i see a possible shot and i feel the place, the sensations that it may gave me...and in my mind i start imagine how to transform the shot to adapt it to my fantasy and sensation!
I think i have lots to learn about the use and tecniques of these softwares ...but i'm humbly liking what i'm "creating" so far!
What about this shot, which i aged and tranformed, and my sensations and ideas...old italian village...old stones that speaks of centuries of history...histories of famous men as well as normal people...a film comes in my mind...a film of an old Italy, sad history of our land...poignant of true feelings and stories...tragic and wonderful...perfectly balanced by the mastery of an italian director and actor ...Roberto Benigni! The film won an oscar as well...is called "La vita è bella"....Life is Beautiful....an original but also right title for a film that speaks of the second world war...i heartly suggest the vision!
...here i link the video of the soundtrack song...which i love for music and lyrics! :)
