The View from Dun na Cuaiche
After years of hoping to get up here, we finally made it. I've been following Richard's posts of this view for a long time. The tower is much bigger than I expected, and you can go inside.
It was pouring until after 11 am, so we sat in the car waiting and hoping. Finally went for it, using paths as far as possible, as the ground was so wet.
700 feet above sea level, the 18th century watchtower looks south down Loch Fyne. Situated above Inveraray and the Castle.
We've met up with Blipper, Richard on a couple of occasions in the past, hoping to do the walk, but both times, the cloud was so low, there would have been no view to enjoy. I hope he will forgive me that we didn't say we were "in town", but it was a last minute decision to go for it.
And so ends our holiday in Argyll and Mull, entries started here on 21st July.
