Duddingston
Today I planned to finally walk the radical road around Sailsbury Craigs, but my plans got slightly derailed when I discovered that the roads in Holyrood Park were closed for no apparent reason. I eventually ended up in Duddingston, but instead of going to my favourite places, Dr Neil's Gardens and the Duddingston Community Garden, I decided to walk up to the high Road of Holyrood Park. The path was very muddy, but a good walk and a great view.
As I headed to the car, the light on Duddinston Loch caught my eye.
I usually avoid taking photos of swans, as when I was student just beginning photography, my professor gave me a slating for submitting an image of a swan at my very first critic. (I'm sure fellow blipper Onesmallplanet remembers that moment well.) In my defense for this photo, I was really trying to capture the light on the loch, but the swans kept getting in my way. I did like this though, I felt the blurred movement of swans wings made it an interesting photo.
