Santa Cruz water lilies

Today C and I went to Stellenbosch Botanical gardens to meet my aunt, cousins, and other members of the family for lunch.  It was a wonderfully relaxed afternoon and so good to see everyone, especially G who now lives in Brisbane.
On the way out we took a detour to see the water lily section.  These massive water lilies from South America have flat pads which grow up to 2m across.  Everything about them, including the flowers are enormous. 
I've one more day of leave then back to work.  :D
