Eagle Pond: Curious Heron

Goosle alternative: Mrs. checks me out while Mr. takes oats

We visited the Goosles this morning before setting off for Oxford; my mother brought oats, and we braved the chill and the drizzle so that I could bid them farewell (pro tem.). Mr and Mrs. both took oats from my mother's hand, and this heron was surprisingly intrigued by our presence. The heron actually approached us: it didn't come right over, but certainly wanted a closer look.
