Scottish summer...

This is not what summer should look like.

Because of all the rain our gardener has been unable to cut the grass in the garden at my flat. I'm sure it'll be no great surprise to you that I'm the stair busybody and I arrange the maintenance, stair cleaning and gardening in our property. Collecting money from people is a pain in the ass but they generally all pay and most are grateful that they don't have to be bothered with it. I called the gardener tonight and insisted that he make us a priority after coming home to a nice letter from one of the new tenants in the stair. She's getting a dog and is looking for someone to let him out on a Thursday and a Saturday while she's at work. I've said that I'm happy to do that if I'm around at the weekends... part share in someone else's pet! Hurrah!

So I went out to see just how bad the jungle is and somearseone has left a mattress in the back stair out to the garden. A sign shall be going up tomorrow as apparently it's been there for three weeks. I don't think so!!! Anyway, I knocked at Chena's door and had a chat, she has an allotment nearby and wants to dig out the beds in the garden and plant stuff! Woohoo! At last we have a gardener!! I told her I'd be happy to help her dig if she lets me know when she's doing it yes Mum you can close your mouth now so hopefully our garden will get back into some sort of shape.

I like nice people.

Today has not been easy. I stayed in at lunchtime because if I went out I was smoking!! Grrrrrrrrrrr!

Oh and thank you for the spotlight yesterday with my creativity... not quite creative enough it seems! ;O)
