Limbering up
This little family of baby swallows were sitting on the telegraph wire outside our house looking at the world about them. Their parents were feeding them insects until they all flew off. At the end of the summer when they have grown and practised their flight they will be off to Southern Africa. Let's hope they all survive the journey. (Better in LARGE)
Today N and I drove to a pub between Blandford and Wimborne for a reunion with old friends. F and I were at college, London and then South Africa together where we met L. L and her husband were later in Australia for two years with the navy where F (after having gone overland in a back of a lorry to Australia with another girlfriend) had already settled. Circles within circles! A lot of reminiscing and catching up on news of other people we all know with similar connections. F and her husband M fly back to Sydney tomorrow.
