Bedraggled Bubsy
The threatened rain arrived this afternoon...of course it did, we've all just washed our cars!
This spring produced a number of baby birds, the most tame being two magpie bubsies. Their mamma is and old friend of mine, one of the babies from two seasons ago, who has returned and started her own brood. Barely an adult herself, she has been showing signs of being very maternal with her young ones, which often leaves me pondering the wonders of nature, how instinct takes over with offspring, regardless of the species.
Today's blip is one of the sweet little guys who arrived in the front garden this afternoon with mamma, wet, bedraggled and very hungry.
