I'm so excited!

Look what I saw early this morning on the field  opposite of our house!
A male elk! I saw him already when we woked up, but then it was too dark to take pictures. When we were sitting in the kitchen having breakfast the elk was standing a bit from our house, but suddenly he moved and came closer. I went outside to take some pictures and the elk came closer and closer! I took cover behind our car standing on our driveway. The elk began to run and disappeared in the forest. I think it was about 25-30 meters between me and the elk, Ihave been so close to a moose once, but then I was standing indoors and the elk outdoors! What an experience!
