Queenstown
It was a bit too windy when we attempted to land here this morning and we were diverted to Dunedin. A four and a half hour bus journey followed before we could see Queenstown from ground level. Our first stop was at Fergburgers for our best ever burger - as recommended by Sandy - and then a short walk up Queenstown hill for some exercise. Sheila and Ally weren't keen and Catriona twisted her ankle as we exited the hotel, so it was just Margie, Diane and myself who set off uphill at the brisk pace that seemed to be necessary to outpace a group of following Germans. The views were outstanding and the Basket of Dreams at the summit a perfect setting for a team photo. Later, we needed no more than some wine, some cheese and some IPA (obviously) to complete another exciting day. More tomorrow.
