Poppy in a field

I came across many poppies in many different places today but somehow this one nestled in the midst of some barley with its own moisture won out.

What a difference a day makes as well, it was absolutely roasting today just to give us a reminder of what warmth and humidity is before tipping water on our heads again tomorrow.
