Buddy

Buddy is Justin's dog, and he is beautiful, not only because of his looks, but because of his personality. He is a wonderful companion dog and gets along with everyone (except perhaps squirrels). He is smart, easy-going, loyal and fits our family perfectly.

When I saw a dog online at a rescue shelter that looked similar to Buddy, I had to meet her. We filled out the application form and had a two phone interviews with the shelter. This morning, all of the two and four legged members of the household loaded into the car, and headed to the shelter, with some treats and a leash. The little girl was beautiful, and energetic - very energetic - and curious. She just had to see everything and she had to get to it quickly. There was a four foot door/gate in the foyer at the shelter and just had to see what was on the other side. Without a thought or any hesitation, she leapt effortlessly off the floor straight up in the air and over the door. And, then she did it again. It was very clear that she would not be happy or safe in our city home as she would be over the fence and off to see the world in no time. We came home with the treats and the leash, a little disappointed, but assured and relieved that she was not "in danger" at the shelter.
