Winter Coming

As the new year opens its plain to see that the cold will soon be constant and deep.  This corner of the yard is laying as if it has been attacked with weed killer and left to decompose into the fallow soil.  
But next summer it will sparkle with new life and all kinds of living things will take up residence.
