Deux Chevaux

We were given this toy, Citroen deux chevaux (2CV) today. A present from friends in recognition of our francophilia. While the surf board resonates with the local Sligo coastline we are not a family of surfers. The deux chevaux, like all Citroën designs of its generation,  combines  innovative engineering and utilitarian principles and was originally conceived of to motorise French farmers in the 1920's. 
The deux chevaux is charming but the coolest Citroën was the Deesse (DS).
