Floodlit

We've moved on to Toledo - enjoying a sunny train ride from Caceres to Madrid, and Madrid to Toledo. In fact, the first train passed quite close to Toledo, but not close enough to warrant a taxi, and a bus ride would have been complicated with our bags. In any event, the AVE ride from Madrid to Toledo was quite pleasant.

We arrived here mid afternoon - soon enough to get a wander in the evening sunlight, and a couple of beers before taking a bit of rest in the hotel room, which is bijou to say the least. Had we been inclined to go shopping, coats of armour were available at special prices (see extra).

Later on we found a middle eastern restaurant serving delicious food just near the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. Thank you Tripadvisor. Strongly recommended. We rounded off the evening with a glass of wine.
