A High Tide in Short Wellies

..... is the title of this impressive 12ft high steel sculpture of a fisherman standing watch over the beach at Filey.

The sculpture was bought for the town by a pensioner in 2012 who wanted to give something to the town she loves. It was created by Ray Lonsdale.

It was rather grey, windy and damp on the sea front - not good for photography, but the texture and colour of the rusty steel was in contrast to the miserable weather.
