Real or Not?

After spending so much time living in Kathmandu, i have been told by many Nepalese people and now seen with my own eyes the many begging businesses that are run in the city. A group of young children are told by their parents or others to go out, take their bowls and sleep in the street and beg. At the end of the day, the children return to their homes.

Although these children are not homeless and probably do have enough food, they are more poorer than the majority of westeners and for that reason i do often give money regardless of whether their begging is genuine or not.
