Torchlight Procession
Went up to Calton hill to take some shots of the fireworks and torch lighting procession. Unlucky timing wise with the fireworks as they seemed to be finshing as we arrived and couldn't manage to get the camera set up in time. But I got a fee shots of the torches. Couldn't decided between this one and my extra photo. The other photo, a black and white image of two people warming their hands by the torch they were holding, is a better photo quality wise, but I like the strangeness of this one. Nelson monument lit up in red floating above a sea of torch lights.
The torch lighting procession is a traditional event that takes place every 30 Dec in Edinburgh and people from all over the world take part. This is the first time I have gone into the city centre to see it.
