Birthday Party

We went for afternoon tea at my eldest sons place today, to celebrate his birthday which was actually a few days ago but we couldnt all get together until today.

There was Black Forrest cake, Italian chocolate and hazelnut biscuits and fresh scones with jam and cream - along with a cup of tea it was a true feast! :o)

Once most of the goodies had been eaten and the remains cleared away The Muse decided he should get up on the table and become the centre of attention for a moment. Someone put a plastic plate on his head and he went off to sleep with it there....perfect photo opportunity! :o)

Its been a strange day weatherwise. I woke at 6.30am to the sound of thunder and went outside to bring Toto in as he gets very agitated when there is thunder. There was a splash of rain and the air was cool it was a lovely time of the day. The thunder didnt end up as a storm and the day just heated up and up from there until we hit about 37c whew!! My son doesnt have air conditioning just fans and it was a very sweaty affair! :)
