Along came a spider

The one and only surviving bloom on my pink rose bush. It did have multiple buds on it but suspiciously the other buds appear to have been cut clean off!

I briefly suspected that Pete might have inadvertently hacked them off while wrestling with the lawnmower. However, as we get all manner of critters in our garden my chief suspect is now the deer. They've systematically eaten nearly all the other flower heads in the garden so it seems likely. Or else that spider has got a set of very big razor sharp teeth...

Thought I'd better blip the bloom just in case it goes AWOL too.
